Central government to invest Rs. 450 core to develop tourism facilities in Chilika Lake and the periphery of Chilika Lake. This was informed by Odisha BJP spokes-person Samir Mohanty.
Thorough this initiative local livelihood, ecology and culture will be promoted and protected. Through this fund tourism infrastructure will be developed in the areas like Satapada, Barakula, Rambha, Khalikot, Mangalajodi and other areas.
Centre will also develop tourism infrastructure like iconic towers, boating, surfing, water sports, luxury resorts, hotel hub, tourism node, cruise and other international facilities will be developed facilities in Chilika Lake and periphery areas.
